Quick and Delicious Tailgate Flavors with A Plant Based Twist
beans may be an unlikely tailgate food, but let's not forget that the average American diet is severely lacking in fiber. We tend to overdo it on the fat and not in a good way, this recipe is one way to enjoy a delicious snack, lunch or however you choose to enjoy your buffalo dip while also being mindful of the foods we are enjoying.

While chatting with some of the taste testers, they agreed it would be delicious on a salad for lunch or as lettuce wraps if you are looking to enjoy this recipe in ways other than just in place of your traditional buffalo dip. You can also use this method to include more plants in the traditional buffalo dip recipe featuring chicken. Ingredients List
1 can of white beans, rinsed and drained.
3 Tbsp. Buffalo Sauce
Splash of lemon juice (optional)
1 rib of celery finely diced
1 green onion finely sliced
¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp granulated garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
Step 1: Smash Your Beans
open, rinse and drain your white beans (you can also sub pinto, navy or chickpeas in place of cannellini beans in this recipe.) then place in a bowl and smash until you reach the desired consistency.
Step 2: Chop Your Veggies
chop your onions and celery, place in mixing bowl with other ingredients
Step 3: Combine Everything
mix remaining ingredients together to make a delicious dip. taste and adjust seasonings as needed. plate up and serve with chips, veggies, as lettuce wraps or over a salad.
